Kampala Declaration

The African Sepsis Alliance aims to reduce the impact of sepsis (mortality and suffering) by bringing about large scale improvements in sepsis awareness, education, care, research,  and funding in Africa – together we can save millions of lives every year.

The Kampala Declaration to improve care for sepsis and severely ill patients in Africa was produced by the African Sepsis Alliance, African Federation of Critical Care Nurses, Global Sepsis Alliance, and World Federation of Critical Care Nurses on October 20th, 2017 in Kampala, Uganda.

We urge you to commit your organization or yourself to the enclosed pledge and, in so doing, join the body of enlightened people and organizations from Africa and around the globe dedicated to reducing the health, economic, and human burden of sepsis. Please sign the Kampala Declaration and contribute to saving millions of lives every year.
